OUR CHALLENGE
Our client Hasbro engaged Progressive PR & Communications (PPR&C) to generate media coverage around the launch of a new Optimus Prime robotic toy which was available for pre order from Zing and EB Games for a RRP of $1500.
The brief was to run a media campaign with a focus on TV coverage and coverage across social media platforms.
OUR RESPONSE
PPR&C reached out to TikTok creator Elly Awesome and sent a Optimus Prime on loan to the creator. Elly produced seven TikTok videos and posted several videos on Instagram. Following on the success of Elly’s post, Progressive PR secured a robot to give away as a prize for Elly’s audience. This gained high traction. The campaign was highly successful in its reach.
OUR OUTCOMES
· Secured a cumulative social media reach of 23,879,300 views
· Lead to 18,457 click throughs to the EB Games website
· Garnered 2182 entries in the TikTok competition
