Bright Sparqe on a Mission to connect businesses and charities
Bright Sparqe bridges the gap between businesses who have surplus goods to donate and charities in need, simplifying the process of redistributing goods, while assisting vulnerable communities and reducing the expenditure and environmental concerns associated with waste management.
And it does this free of charge to all parties.
All sizes of businesses are welcome to become Bright Sparqe partner donors, who donate a mixture of products and food by adding them to the Bright Sparqe platform.
Businesses can help charities support community members by donating products and unused and unopened food that has not expired.
Bright Sparqe partner charities accept the donations and arrange collection, to then provide the donations to their communities.
“I founded Bright Sparqe to provide food, clothes, toiletries, bottled water and juices to the homeless, underprivileged and people living below the poverty line. Along the way I have discovered that vulnerable communities need more than this and Bright Sparqe has expanded to be able to help distribute all sorts of products that would potentially go to waste,” said Charbel Yamouni, founder and executive director of Bright Sparqe.

The Melbourne Cricket Club had 200 surplus chairs and submitted a donation onto the Bright Sparqe platform. Bright Sparqe partner charity, the House of Refuge Hallam collected the chairs which are now used to serve 700 people for breakfast and lunch sitting comfortably whilst they have their meals.
Port Phillip Community Group were donated three pallets of ham and cheese and caramelised onions toasties and could not distribute them. They submitted a donation onto the Bright Sparqe platform. The three pallets equated to 7,400 toasties that were collected by five Bright Sparqe partner charities.
The ability to connect charities with businesses quickly, safely and at zero cost means the Bright Sparqe platform has the real opportunity to transform the donation space.
Many well-known Australian brands are supporting the Bright Sparqe Platform to ensure products don’t go to waste and are redistributed to those in need, such as The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Grove Juice, Double Tree Hotel, Emma & Tom's Juices, Carman’s Kitchen and Casa Amuk.
Bright Sparqe has 355 partner charities nationally and growing, including Father Bob Maguire Foundation, various Ronald McDonald House Charities throughout Australia, the Port Phillip Community Group, Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church Newtown NSW and the Addison Road Community Organisation in Marrickville NSW.
