Back by popular demand, Eureka Skydeck invites you up to level 88 these school holidays to Walk the Plank!

Prepare for a virtual reality experience like no other as the plank tests your limits, with only the bravest making it across to safety.

From September 21 onwards, round up your thrill-seeking mates for a race to the finish line or conquer your fear of heights from the comfort of a digital headset with The Plank, an exciting virtual reality experience that has visitors balancing on a plank, 285 metres above Melbourne city.

Put on the headset and be instantly transported out to the edge. If staggering heights can’t shake you, just try and overcome the strong Melbourne breezes and high-flying birds.

Providing a challenge for kids and parents alike, the virtual activation simulates a treacherous balancing act, which will test those who pluck up the courage to navigate their way from one end of the plank to the other, all while having two feet planted firmly on solid ground.

The Walk the Plank experience will cost patrons $10.00 per photo. Open from 10am - 10pm daily, the challenge is here for all to enjoy.

About Eureka Skydeck:

Eureka Skydeck is the highest public vantage point in the Southern Hemisphere. Located on the 88th floor of Eureka Tower, the observation deck provides patrons with 360-degree floor-to-ceiling views of Melbourne and beyond. During the school holidays guests will also be able to take full advantage of:

  • The Edge - The world’s only Edge experience is an awe inspiring a 3m by 3m transparent glass cube, which slides out from the building on Level 88, suspending guests above the Melbourne skyline. Patrons can purchase their official photo taken while out on the Edge, ready for upload to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

  • The Outdoor Terrace - Enclosed by a wire grid, the Outdoor Terrace exposes guests to the elements on Level 88. The Terrace is right next to the Edge, so family and friends can view those inside.
