The inaugural Daylesford Polo, which took place at Drummond’s Mingela Polo Cub on March 23, delivered a day of world class sport and entertainment, becoming the first Melbourne Polo event to donate all proceeds to charity.
Daylesford Polo’s official charity partner TLC for Kids are thrilled to announce that an anonymous donation of $500,000 was made at the inaugural event, with further funds being donated and tallied post event.
The money raised will support TLC for Kids in providing further practical and emotional relief to sick kids and their families.
The event attracted over 750 guests who were treated to an exciting line-up of fabulous food, delightful drinks, spectacular field-side fashion, incredible DJ’s, a love of sport and uniquely, the excitement of a full-size polo match.
Proving the diverse interest of the Daylesford Polo, guests included super-star jockey Michelle Payne, actors Sharon Johal and Susie Mclean, influencers Tess Shanahan, Amelia Stubbs, Eileen Cassidy, Laurina Fleur, model Ruby Brownless and comedian and former reality TV star Ryan Gallagher.
With Daylesford turning on a perfect day, guests were able to soak up the sunshine on 1,000 acres of Victoria’s finest rolling country-side in a range of gorgeous, sites and lounges, including luxurious corporate marquees and field side al fresco areas, all whilst having first-class views of three thrilling polo matches.
Sponsored teams Bentley Melbourne, Bondi Sands, Think Market, Vittoria Coffee, Farmers Arms and Gtelecom were made up of local and international polo players including Australia’s highest ranked polo players Ruki Baillieu, Inge Burke and Ed Mandie.
The full-sized polo field meant that all attendees enjoyed a prime field side view of the action.

Corporate marquees included the Bondi Sands Supersite, which added an entirely new level of luxury with guests enjoying their own private booth equipped with wait staff, spirits, champagne and delectable treats.
The all-day rosé bar and premium food trucks kept pologoers fuelled for a long day of mixing and mingling amongst some of Melbourne most fashionable. Site-wide Wi-Fi meant guests continuously snapped away throughout the day showing off their best polo looks against the picturesque countryside backdrop.
Rolling greens, flowing drinks and coveted fashion, the Daylesford Polo will be back next year combining world-class polo and glamour in delightful Daylesford.
