Eureka Skydeck Celebrates 10 Years at the Top

To help commemorate this astonishing milestone, Eureka Skydeck will offer visitors a once in a lifetime opportunity to reach for the sky and join the 6 million visitors who have experienced the sensational views with special $10 adult, children and concession admission tickets.

Available for purchase via the Eureka Skydeck website from Monday 15th to Tuesday 16th of May, the special admission tickets will give visitors the chance to live life on the edge and help celebrate the momentous birthday of the city’s most impressive tourist attraction.

As the only observation deck in the world with ‘The Edge’ – a glass cube which projects 3 metres out from the building, suspending people 300 metres above the ground – and magnificent 360 degree, floor-to-ceiling views, Eureka Skydeck has welcomed the 10th year of operation like it does its visitors.

Located on the southern banks of the Yarra River, Eureka Skydeck is perfectly primed as Melbourne’s tourism hot spot. During its ten years of operation, Skydeck has hosted over 1,000 proposals, roasted over 289,680 barista-made coffees, enlightened over 1.8 million people from over 232 nationalities with the glass-shattering Edge experience, welcomed a visit from King Kong himself and watched an expert high wire artist edge his way out into the open air from one point of the iconic Eureka Tower to the other.

Continuing to thrive as a ‘must-see’ attraction, the 88 level, 3,680 step, 38 second lift journey to the top – which has travelled over 195,046km across the decade or nearly five times around the world – rewards viewers with skyline views and impeccable backdrop scenery; an obvious ‘must-do’ for any local visitor.

Equipped with 30 viewfinders, every visitor can soak up some of Australia’s finest scenery encompassing sights such sights as Port Phillip Bay, the Docklands, Melbourne’s sporting precinct and everything in between.
