Australian and World Champions and Winter Olympians performing in Figure Skating Gala Evening

O’Brien Group Arena, the world class ice sports and entertainment venue in the Docklands, is hosting the 2017 Figure Skating Gala Evening; a premium event that showcases Australia’s champion figure skaters and ice dancers on Friday 28 April at 7pm.
In celebration of Australia’s home-grown talent, the exhibition gala will give guests the chance to witness Australian and World Champions and Winter Olympians showcasing their talents on the rink from 7pm to 8.30pm.
Elite ice skating athletes like Kailani Craine, the three time Australian National Ladies Champion, and Brendan Kerry, the five time Australian National Mens Champion and Winter Olympian, will be among some of the elite level performers on the night.
Also appearing are Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya and Harley Windsor, Australia’s new super pair who are the 2017 Junior World Champions in the pairs event.

Special musical guests Mamma Jam will also perform live throughout the event.

To continue the snow and ice theme, there will be special guest interviews with Australia’s 2017 World Championship medalists in Mogul, Aerial Skiing and Snowboard, Britt Cox (2017 Mogul Skiing World Champion), Danielle Scott, David Morris and Alex “Chumpy” Pullin.
The event will be presented by Katherine Firkin, a multiple Australian International representative, three-time Victorian Senior Dance Champion and ice sport journalist who recently covered the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

O’Brien Group Arena is thrilled to host a Melbourne showcase that continues Australia’s talent pipeline and paves the way for next generation Australian Winter Olympians in PyeongChang, South Korea in 2018.

O’Brien Group Arena features seating for 1,000 spectators and a restaurant and bar which will be open on the night.
