These days, you can run or walk for any cause but if you want a challenge that will really make a difference to the lives of children in need, take on Altitude Shift.

Altitude Shift participants will abseil 113m (27 stories) down the iconic St James Building in Melbourne’s CBD on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 May to raise essential funds for Victorian children living in foster care.

Altitude Shift is a personal challenge designed by Anglicare Victoria to take people out of their comfort zone and is the only extreme challenge of its kind in the state.

“We are seeking ordinary people who want to do extraordinary things,” says Paul McDonald, CEO Anglicare Victoria, “and in return we will give them a once in a lifetime experience.”

“If you can live on the edge and are looking for some excitement and the thrill of helping support Victorian children living in foster care, we need you” McDonald says.

Capped at 200 places, Altitude Shift costs $150 to register and participants must fundraise a minimum of $850 to secure their spot for this unique event.

The event is open to everyone over 16 to participate as an individual or as part of a team.

Prizes are on offer for most funds raised (team and individual) and best dressed (team and individual).

Money raised will go towards supporting Anglicare Victoria in what they do best – delivering programs that create positive, lasting change in the lives of foster children.
